In 2000 the Millennium Golf open was hosted at the home of Golf, In St Andrews.
As this is only 10 miles up the road from Anstruther we hoped for some benefits for the Town during this prestigious event.
The Community Rallied round and the result was that the world famous liner the QE11 berthed off Anstruther for the week as a floating Hotel for people wishing to visit the Golf.
For those who are not golf orientated Anstruther and the East Neuk offers scenery, History, local shops ( no high street chains), Hotels, Fish and Chips ( including the top Scottish Fish and Chip shop 2000 and 2001), as well as some of the best restaurants outside Edinburgh.
